Oscar De La Hoya vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Cinco de Mayo: One knockout weekend in Vegas

Saturday, May 5th, 2007

They have been advertising the fight for months and months, every showroom in Las Vegas owned by MGM/Mirage is showing the event closed circuit, and the fans have all flooded into town. Personally, I am ready for the darn thing to be over with, but if the money I made last night is any indication of the money in town this weekend then I hope it never ends!

Around midnight to 1am I was getting pretty darn frustrated with one agency I work for. I have been working for them for years and don’t want to lose the priority I have built up with them (it always takes some time for your ability to make money become well known to the girls answering the phones and dispatch the calls), but some of the business practices and new fees have made it difficult to make calls work. There have been several nights recently where I have gone on calls for them for hours during prime times, only to be wasted on calls that didn’t answer, couldn’t get the fee, or got the fee and the client didn’t want to tip which means I walk away with nothing. These are the reasons why a lot of girls don’t like working for services but in my opinion, this way of making money is a little bit safer in Vegas… especially right now.  This company solely works from taxi cab and limo referrals so the fees are higher because the drivers get such a huge kick back. Recently the fee was upped from $200 ($150 to the driver and $50 to the company) to $250-$300 ($200-$250 to the driver STILL $50 to the company) due to competition from other companies stealing drivers. Its insane, and I know every one else reading this will be shocked. You can see why sometimes its hard to collect these fees when all the customer is getting is a strip and I am walking away with nothing if they don’t tip above that fee. So now I am sure many will ask, so why do you even work for this company? It is one of about five that I work for and even though their fees are high, I still do make money from them (though lately some of these nights I run around for nothing) and when I get tired and frustrated of running around for them, I sometimes call off and focus more on other services that I work for.

Anyway… there was a whole point to that diversion. I was getting frustrated last night, like I said, and was really close to calling it quits with them for the night around 5:30am because I was missing calls from other services that I thought would be easier to deal with. I gave in and finally said, ok one more chance but this better not be a waste of time. She swore it wouldn’t. I show up at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay and it turns out to be 4 girls, 2 guys and the agency fee is $250 a girl. Jesus Christ, I thought it was supposed to be good?! That means the fee is $1,000 total? That’s absolutely insane. We go upstairs and the two guys are here from Puerto Rico for the De La Hoya v. Mayweather fight. After chatting we actually collect the fee of $1,000. All four of us are kind of shocked and start talking tips after we all split up: 2 girls for each guy. The other girl and I get some money upfront to start giving him the minimum hand job when we finally convince him of giving us more so he can have what he is requesting: having sex with the both of us. Though this is probably every guy’s fantasy, it is quite annoying to pull off with two prostitutes. It’s a total mood killer for the guy when we are going through condoms, getting him to wash up or washing ourselves, and constant trips to the bathroom. The guy has sex with her first for about 2 minutes before the alcohol in his system makes him lose his erection, then after more washing and condom changing he tries having sex with me which lasted even shorter before his erection was lost. After an hour he hasn’t had an orgasm and realizes maybe he did drink too much the last night.  Even though that was frustrating, it ended up being a good end to the already decent night.

Lesson everyone should learn? Don’t spend thousands of dollars when you have drunk too much to enjoy your fantasy with two girls.

The younger prostitutes of Las Vegas and how they are screwing it up for everyone else.

Yea, I need to vent for a second. It’s situations like what I heard last night and what happened to me at a bachelor party the night before that makes me want to smack some sense into these younger girls. I am in my mid twenties and quite a few of the newer girls at services I work at are 18-20 or maybe just turned 21. No matter what their age, they have been acting like they are 16. Things around Vegas have gotten a little bit tougher when making money because of the girls that come from out of town or don’t know how to make money end up screwing so many people over. Why should they care? They are only in town for the week or just want to test the waters at being a prostitute. They don’t realize the impact it has on tourists who come back next year for their convention or on down the road for a future vacation. What these girls don’t realize is how to get whatever money they can, do the act and move on. Just because you had to bargain down to some lower amount of money to make the deal doesn’t make you less of a person for doing so. After all, you are STILL making more money than lawyers and doctors do per hour so smile! You are still a whore, and no level of money changes that.

So the night before last I went on a service call with one of these younger girls (let’s call her Joann) who really wishes she wasn’t in the sex industry. Most of these girls used to or still work in strip clubs and just put on some “I’m better than you” attitude but somehow ended up in the sex industry from their pimp who wanted them to make more money. That is this girl’s story, also. So Joann and I go to the call at the Las Vegas Hilton at 4:30 in the morning and it turns out to be an 8-person bachelor party. No biggie though bachelor parties are one of my least favorite. They give us the company fee pretty easily and we start talking about our tips (we talk and collect 95% of our tips up front for parties so they know what kind of party they are getting and we aren’t constantly begging for money the whole time). They say we are too high and want to negotiate. The main guy who is dealing with the money goes to the other guys and collects as much as he can per person to pitch in. He comes back to us with about 1/3 of what we originally asked for which is STILL a good bit of money. After her sulking and looking pissed about the amount he wants to tip, she agrees to do the show for the bachelor. We go out to the room and I start dancing for the bachelor while she just STANDS there next to me, watching. The whole time looking like her best friend just died and won’t smile to even seem halfway interested. I ask for tips to play some of the bachelor games and she says nothing to help to get more cash to boost up what we got paid originally. After one game Joann sat down and looked at her phone and claimed she had another call to go to. GOOD please go and leave me here so I can try to work these guys and make some more money. After her horrible attitude and leaving the room, the customers didn’t want to spend any more money for sexual acts because they were of course… disappointed! I tried being chipper and got a couple extra 20’s for being polite and left the room a little ticked. I made sure the girls at the company knew about her attitude and hopefully won’t be sent anywhere with her again.

Last night the story I heard was another young girl (who has previously screwed up calls we have gone on together) who was at the Bellagio and took $2,500 from a customer, claimed she didn’t feel good, and somehow left the room without even taking her clothes off. I was dumbfounded. I also know that she doesn’t do “full service” a.k.a. have sex with customers. No girl has to do anything they don’t want to do, but I don’t understand why she wants to be in this industry and NOT have sex? What I concluded was that she promised this guy that she would have sex but then bailed. I know the company isn’t too happy with her at all right now… and of course that guy will never come back to Vegas and have a girl over again.

Anyway I am done venting. The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) is in town and is the largest convention that comes here every year. Last year was kind of disappointing but hopefully this year will be different!

Good News and Bad News in Las Vegas

Saturday, January 13th, 2007

So what do you want first, the good or bad news? Well I will tell you the good news first just because the bad news really isn’t all that bad and the good news is really awesome to me. It made my week.

Good news: The legal matters I was talking about recently? I went by my lawyer’s office on Thursday to handle some payment stuff for my first case (the one I wrote about recently was the second time I had been arrested and charged for solicitation). Earlier that day his assistant went in for me to handle the pretrial of the second case. Apparently I got so extremely lucky and got a D.A. who was fresh out of law school and when he was told that my first case was being dismissed, he just dropped the second case he was supposed to handle. I don’t understand why he really did this except maybe he didn’t want to bother with my case because I have been capable of getting previous charges dismissed. Whatever the case is I am so relieved and happy for this. I will go into more details about this case now that it is dropped in a future blog. All I know is even if this case went through to the courts, there was no way it would have stuck. They just saved their time by dropping it.

Bad news: Well like I said it really isn’t that bad. It is just that CES this year was pretty disappointing compared to the rumors I have heard over the years from call girls about how great it was. I did have some pretty decent and easy calls but they were pretty evenly distributed over the course of the convention. There wasn’t one night that was really great to write home about. Then again, if you’re in the sex industry or even a stripper, we all know how girls like to brag about how great this or that was last year or “back in those days”. I’m not going to lie, but I have done the same thing too. Anyway I just got a call from a service. Lets cross our fingers!
