It’s Rodeo Time! And A Marathon! And A Fight At MGM… Oh My!

Friday, December 5th, 2008

Quite the weekend I [hope] this will be. Every December the rodeo rolls into town with their big dually trucks and trailers to set up shop and try to grab their bit of the prize money offered. It’s amazing how many people participate in the rodeo for it to go on (especially the livestock yard that is created in a baseball field of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas). I enjoy some of the cowboys that come into town for customers, but I do know you have to have extreme patience since there is nothing like this in Casper, Wyoming. So like I mentioned before… the rodeo is here until the 13th or so.

Saturday night is the De la Hoya fight against Pacquiao. . I am not interested in fights, but I am interested only when they are two popular and undefeated boxers like these two. Already I’ve gone on two or three calls of fans who are in town a little bit early. Hooray! Maybe they will want to have more fun than the cowboys.

Sunday is the ever-growing Las Vegas Marathon. I can promise you one thing, they don’t cause a spike in my line of business when they are preparing to run. I think one time out of 3 years the marathon has been around that I have had a customer in the race want some sort of private entertainment. The only annoying thing to me is how they close down the Strip for the morning. That makes it extremely difficult for an escort to get to hotel rooms in a timely manner. I remember the first year I was trying to get to the Mirage and got stuck on the wrong side of the race. It was a nightmare and took an hour to get to the hotel only for it to not work out. Bummer

So I hope this weekend turns out good because it’s boring. Unfortunately I don’t have any new good stories to tell… hopefully this weekend will change that.

Christmas Is Over And I Am Back In Vegas

Sunday, December 30th, 2007

Well I know its been a while and I really hate that I got behind on my blog. I just got through reading some of my comments and glad to see I was missed! hehe. Everything has been better and I usually go out of town in December for a bit of a break to go see family and such. Plus December just *blows* (no pun intended!) I have often bailed out of Vegas for the past few years after the Rodeo leaves town because it dies down so bad that you end up spending more on gas or just food a day than you are making. I’d rather spend that boring time with family and friends! This year right after Rodeo started there was this odd phenomenon of a fight weekend. Usually big boxing matches bring the creme de la creme of whatever nationality the fighters are. If its a Latin fighter it’s like the Mexican invasion. If it’s two people like Mayweather and Holyfield, it gets pretty ghetto and crazy around town. The fight the first weekend of December was Mayweather versus Hatton who is an English boy who is some sort of home town hero. I wondered if any males from the UK were even left over there that weekend because it seemed like they all hopped on a plane and went to Vegas. I was running around like a mad man for 3 days. The time change for them made my schedule wacky! It would be dead and a doornail around 9pm-4am and then it was non stop calls until 4pm the next day.Girls always talk about their best and worst nationality of customers (I’ve even rated it on my old blog). My opinion of the English? Totally hit or miss as far as making money. South English (Londoners and other cities in the south) generally spend some good cash because heck.. the American dollar is poor! They get more for their money! Northern English (Birmingham, Manchester… which it seems Hatton was from up north) are generally cheap and can be pretty aggressive. So it was like a huge swing that weekend. It was either good money or nothing. Sorry but I don’t have an hour all inclusive session for $200. I think Mexico is about that much these days. hehAnyway I must hustle the next few days. New Years Eve in Vegas is nuts and can’t really work until 5am when the Strip reopens. I will try and not drink in the mean time… ha ha!

Tis the Season: Las Vegas Vice Squad Spreading the Holiday Cheer!

Wednesday, November 28th, 2007

So if you previously read in my wordpress blog I was arrested twice last fall for solicitation of prostitution. Both cases were dismissed thankfully but it’s always a concern to be on the lookout for trouble I can avoid. The second time I was arrested was during the slow slow part of the year in Vegas between Thanksgiving and Christmas (minus the huge National Finals Rodeo that comes into town the first week of December). This town gets super slow and girls get desperate for cash and start “freelancing” (strolling through casinos or bars trying to pick up a customer) more frequently and stand out a little more than usual in the mostly empty casinos.

Now I don’t know if the girls are just that obvious that they get picked up and arrested more or if the vice squad gets that BORED during this time that they just arrest girls by the truckload. I haven’t heard of girls in jail in a few months and now I am hearing from several girls that have been taken in the past week. One girl’s abil bondsman informed her about 300 girls have been taken in the past week or so. Jesus Christ. That makes me nervous and I better start knocking on wood that I don’t fall into their trap. That’s the last thing I need right now.

Sorry for the sparse posting since before the holiday. After a death in the family followed by Thanksgiving I haven’t been to motivated to write though maybe it would have helped some to get out some of my emotions. Thanksgiving was awesome and I am still trying to recover from that over-eating festivity! Pictures to come… I just need to get back into the swing of things.

Las Vegas isn’t known for its regulars..

Saturday, December 9th, 2006

That’s for sure. When I worked out of state in strip clubs it was always your primary goal to get as many regular customers as you could because they would always come back to you and you could rely on their dances as somewhat reliable income. Being in Vegas is totally different for working. It doesn’t matter if you work in a strip joint or selling sex, it’s difficult to build a clientele that constantly comes back to see you in this town. I can count on one hand how many customers have left town and called me back when they are visiting Vegas their next trip in the three years I have been working out here. Kinda stinks…

Today I was lucky though. I seemed to have found a guy who comes to Vegas pretty often and seems like a steady customer but doesn’t want to get too crazy, try to push my rules, or try to get some sort of discount on a second visit. Actually this time he paid me a little more. I hope he continues to call me in the future.. I always worry that they will move on to a different girl.

Tonight is so slow with the rodeo leaving town. Besides my regular I have had two calls that were no answers and one call where the guys only paid a girl and me the company fee but couldn’t even tip enough for a few dances. Speaking of… my phone is ringing. Off to Harrah’s
