So after a lot of guesses and such, the winner is JD who guessed the Rhone Valley Region in Southern France. I would have done flips if someone actually guessed the precise region (or AOC), Chateauneuf-du-Pape but quite a few people don’t know it though they produce a lot of awesome wines! I did visit the upper part of the Rhone region as well, Bordeaux, and then spent some time in Paris. All in all a lovely trip! I would have done a picture from Bordeaux but hey, that would have been too easy!

Though someone named “I” said Provence earlier in the comments, that wasn’t the wine region name (like I asked for) but more of the county name of the area. Sorry but you were very close!

It’s been a difficult one getting off of vacation mode though it’s nice to not be spending money and making it once again! Things have definitely picked up since I left. I got some of the photos off of my computer to show but all things went haywire and I can’t download all of them. That’s okay because I have a couple of pictures to have a CONTEST!
I figured I’d make it interesting since I didn’t mention where I was going to my readers and wanted to play a little game. Below I am posting two pictures I took on my vacation, which partly was in a wine region. Guess which wine region I was in and you will win:

It was an awesome few weeks away but I’m glad to be back home and in my own bed Here’s one picture I did from my trip… enjoy!

Well I meant to post this on Christmas but time slipped, had to get back to Vegas and hit the ground running to work as soon as my plane touched down. Too much time away to see family and only a quick week in between before my real vacation starts (I don’t consider the trip with family to be much vacation) that I take every year. I will try and post some while I am away but I don’t recall if my wifi card works in the mountains. We will see. Hope everyone had a great New Years and hopefully this year will be better than 2008!

So before I left out of the country for a week I thought I would have plenty of time to write 2-3 posts and be able to post them remotely or time delay them to keep you all entertained while I was gone and leave a little note saying I would be out of commission but alas… time flew, the disaster with BlueHost and such really messed up my plans. Now I am back and ready to go!

I am getting antsy driving back to Las Vegas now… this little vacation is over and I am looking forward to being in dry heat instead of humidity, looking forward to working instead of sitting on my butt doing nothing productive, and eat some healthy food instead of vegging out on yummy home cooked food from family (but it’s so good!) I only have two weeks until my serious vacation to a foreign country with friends. I won’t be gone for too long but I really am looking forward to it. Really need to bust my butt to make as much money as I can and hit the ground running as soon as I get back.
When leaving Vegas for a week or two its always fun to come back and drive around to see what they have changed. Its amazing how much buildings shoot up, signs change, and new performers are added or scratched from large sticky advertising on the buildings. Anyway hope my house is okay and I have oodles of blogs to catch up on!
