So it’s official… the state turned down hearing about the bill to allow legalized prostitution in Las Vegas. A bill was being drafted but they were informed by the current legislature that the issue won’t be taken up this session. Some are disappointed, some are happy… but I am in the middle wishing it had been debated some (it’s always interesting to hear what people’s opinions are) but not wanting it to pass. Apparently they had gotten so far as to writing a part of the bill that would allow Mayor Goodman to have 3 operations open under a temporary trial phase until a board could be established. The discussion about the Legislature passing to hear about the measure was found at the Las Vegas Sun.

So the springtime is usually a rollercoaster of sorts as one convention comes into town and another event ends, sometimes there can be strange lulls in business and then one random Sunday night it can be good. I am used to these swings in the springtime, but this year has been way more of a rollercoaster. I loved the business the roofers, construction, concrete guys brought in, but since last Thursday it has gone from odd to strange. Last night I got really lucky on one good call and it was dead for the rest of the night. Tonight I have been bored and working on my computer from my car as I wait for a call. Hey, at least it has given me time to write an entry that was much needed, right?

Here’s one question I received and thought it would be a good idea to answer on here since this is a common question I have received when regarding couples:

But we don’t really go to clubs, and I don’t think we actually want to establish a real relationship with someone while we’re there. We just want to have a little fun. Do you have any suggestions? Ideally, we would be able to check the girl out and maybe even set things up a little before we get there.”

I think there are two options for this type of entertainment when people are a little more on the nervous and cautious side when trying to book:
First, is of course looking online for people who specifically see couples and contact them about arranging a meeting. Most people don’t mind coming over to meet up and figuring things out from there as far as entertainment goes. I think meeting people in clubs around here can be difficult and time consuming and possibly a complete waste of time. You are right about most of the girls in the pictures being too good to be true, but if you suspect whom you are calling is an agency then maybe just give them a good description of the type of girl you are looking for. The only difference between an independent girl and someone through an agency is just a fee that you have to pay up front to get them there and naked. Other than that, there isn’t much difference.

The second option is the legal one: the brothels out in Pahrump. If you are still feeling unsure and want to be able to speak freely about what entertainment you both would like (hard to when you are in Las Vegas since prostitution is illegal) then I think the most confident way to go is to visit one of these places. It’s not too far away and they offer transportation if you contact the brothel ahead of time. Luckily they made it easy by putting the Chicken Ranch and Sheri’s Ranch next door to each other so if one doesn’t suit you, then you can walk next door to the other one. I personally have visited both properties and found that the selection of girls at Sheri’s is better. Each girl sets her own price so you have to talk to them there. I know girls personally who work out there and charge $800+ for a couples party (the more both of you are involved the more expensive it gets). I don’t think the cost will differ too much whether you call a girl in Vegas or you make the trip to Pahrump… but the only difference is Pahrump offers a piece of mind with safe, professional girls who you can talk freely and openly to. Also picking a girl from a group at the Ranch is sometimes easier than waiting for a girl in your room because if she shows up to your hotel and you don’t approve, then you don’t have to wait another 20-30 minutes for the next girl to show up… or have to call someone else entirely.
Of course I don’t want anyone to be discouraged from calling a girl here locally but if the technicalities of booking something and not knowing who, what, or how much bothers you then I’d suggest the brothels. It’s the only thing of its kind in the U.S. and I think everyone should experience them.

So when I go out of town for a few days it’s hard to get back into a writing groove. Worked last night after being gone for the weekend. Apparently I didn’t miss too much and last night was okay though every client seemed to just want to pay the minimum prices. So I have noticed a shift in the girls who freelance around Vegas casinos. A lot of times on my blog I have had people ask where to find such girls and where do they frequent. Last night I was walking through the New York, NY Casino after entertaining a client (he didn’t believe bars were open 24 hours) and saw 8-10 hookers loitering between the elevator and the parking garage. Total distance would be something like 20 yards. That’s incredible. It’s only a matter of time until New York, NY tightens their security like they used to have and becomes the next spot girls get harassed.

I am slightly annoyed with these girls and their thought process of how to work. Each girl hears through the grapevine of where to go and what casino is considered good with the least amount of security. It only takes a few weeks before said casino is infiltrated by a horde of girls, like New York NY is experiencing. Quickly the casino tightens up security and the fun is over for everyone. These girls have bounced around so much in these packs that now almost every casino is difficult to get in and out of for us girls who like to be more discreet.

I have also noticed a shift in girls who used to walk the track along West Tropicana Road have moved to the east side of the strip on Flamingo and up along Harmon by the Hard Rock Hotel. The funniest thing I see? Girls walking with their ass hanging out but threw on a pair of sandals or sneakers like it would throw the cops off. Who are they fooling? Not me for sure!

Believe me… I need it! The rollercoaster of the summer has really worn me down and I decided I need a break to go visit family and friends back home (still home to me though I have lived in Vegas for almost 5 years). I made the decision a few weeks ago and decided to push up the trip some more because I just needed a break. Tensions run high when things aren’t going so great at the companies you work for since the economy is hurting. So last night I originally started this blog at 3am sitting at an agency bored out of my mind, deafened by the silence of the phones, and scribbling words down on my little note pad (not too comfortable taking my new laptop out of its cocoon of my house yet) then realizing that things have really slowed down in Vegas compared to last July. My phone rang right when I was thinking that and had to run off to Treasure Island where I made a decent amount of money. Though I don’t believe in luck… I sure did feel lucky to have that one call.

Anyway, last night aside, it’s been a slow few weeks… painfully slow at times. Even the 4th of July holiday was dreadfully bad. I think I spent more on gas than I made in tips. Recently I saw an article in the newspaper about how gambling profits are down 15% in Las Vegas and MGM Mirage lost something like 30% in their first quarter. First time anything has slumped at all in about a decade. The whole fuel situation with the airlines is causing major issues too since they have cut flights coming into Las Vegas plus the California drivers have been less plentiful this summer unlike previous years. It doesn’t help that people don’t promote bargains here anymore like before, its now all about bigger and better and charging at least $1000 for it.

Last night I went to fill my car up and noticed a girl hanging around the front of the convenience store and could instantly tell what she was up to and was waiting for her “ride”. Another car pulled up when she got into immediately but I guess he was broke and only ended up giving him her number. She hopped out and quickly jumped into another car, which left the station. Since there’s so much to reply to I’ll just make an entry and then in a separate one telling of the horrible situation I had to deal with tonight. What a welcome back to home to Vegas, experience I went through!

Whomever posted as “I”: Unfortunately there’s no easy solution to pin pointing ads on eros or some such as agencies just by looking at them. Even some single girl independent sites are run through services. You just need to call around and figure things out on your own and if the girl who answers says “I answer the phone for the girls” translates to probably being a service. Dealing with services isn’t a bad thing you just have to understand you’re in for paying a little more for someone to send you a girl like room service. Casino/nightclub girls can be an okay bet but always be cautious of who you take back and not knowing even where she came from.

DRR: I have never heard a story like that but I have heard of girls getting fake chips (like what they sell in souvenir shops) and I have had a guy try to give me a chip from a roulette table (same kind of chip for tourney’s). jaecyn: Wow really sorry to hear about that… sad to hear you also picked up the phone so easily and resorted to calling security. I really hate it when people don’t just say “hey I don’t like you leave” or some other lame excuse and immediately shoo the girl off. Calling security when you haven’t even given her money is kinda like tattling to your parents when your sister is bugging you. In the end it makes everyone look like an idiot by reacting that way. You did the right thing when you got the phone call from the “driver” … next time just say leave I don’t like you than resorting to such unnecessary measures.

I can’t wait to write about the horrible mess I went through tonight… can’t wait to talk to my lawyer on Monday, too.
