The Blind Client Who Opened My Eyes

Saturday, May 14th, 2011

I see people with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences which includes people with and without disabilities. I’ve seen war veterans who have recovered from severe injuries, people who are physically handicapped, and a even smaller number of deaf or blind clients. People oftentimes ask, “Do any of your clients make an impact on you?” Aside from injured war vets, who always amaze me by what they’ve gone through, one person stands out in my mind. I remembered him the other day: a semi-regular client from a few years ago who has been completely blind since birth.

I saw him a number of times over the course of a year when he would want to come out and gamble (slot machines mostly). Nothing sexual ever happened, and I don’t even think I got naked for dances during these visits. I definitely remember him taking care of me, typically for 3-5 hours blocks over several days to accompany him around town. Normally when people pay just for company, I have to think of transportation; where am I going? how should I dress?, etc. For once I didn’t have to consider hopping in a cab and I actually drove him around in my own car. We usually went to dinner and then I took him shopping wherever he wanted to go. The rest of the time was spent in the room talking about his personal issues — living by himself at home and how he deals with things that we oftentimes take for granted in our everyday lives, like grocery shopping or simply getting around. He really just needed someone to talk to and I felt bad because you could really tell how alone he felt when he was home. Sometimes he got overly emotional during our conversations.

While out shopping or eating, I really started to notice how different life is when you can’t see anything, and particularly if you have never been able to see your whole life. Imagine not knowing what “color” is, what “brightness” is… or darkness. Things that we might use as adjectives to describe something to someone else are limited by only things you can hear or feel. He liked going shopping for nice timepieces because of the way the watches ticked and felt in his hands. I tried describing the faceplates or colors of the armbands or shininess, but this was all unimportant and useless information to him. Most people would be enamored by the way a watch looks, but he liked them for completely different reasons that I would have never noticed before. Even counting cash is impossible if you can’t see. You have to trust that the person who is giving you change is really giving you what is right. I know that in a lot of countries currency has different sized bills or braille to differentiate, but he had a system of folding bills in his wallet six different ways for the six different denominations (I never saw him with a $2 bill). He also liked staying only in hotels that had an elevator that said aloud “going up” and announced each floors. At dinner I often read the menu to him to help him order (and eventually knew what items to skip over that he didn’t like).

And then I had to think of creative ways to “show” him around town. What is something good to hear? Or feel to experience in Vegas? Once I took him to the Bellagio fountains to hear them exploding only to be disappointed that it was a windy day. The more explosive shows were replaced with soft, swaying water sounds. He still enjoyed it.

Though I don’t see him anymore and his numbers have all changed, I used to check in with him every so often to see how he was doing. I couldn’t imagine a world where I couldn’t see or hadn’t experienced color or light before. And what he showed me in his world definitely made me more aware of what I experience in mine.

My Previous Encounters With The Law- Part I

Saturday, January 3rd, 2009

I just realized that on my old wordpress blog that I had told my readers (many who still followed me moving to my new domain) that I had been arrested but I would explain at a later date how I actually everything went down since I didn’t want to interfere with my court proceedings.

So the recent arrest was the first time in two years I had been arrested, and almost to the day. Two years ago I had been arrested twice during the fall/winter, once in October and once in December. The October incident had to have been one of the more crafty vice busts I have heard of and at the same time, absurd.

I had received an email from my Eros ad from someone who was interested in a girl to escort him to a very important business dinner. The email was so intricate with the story I am still shocked it ended up being a cop. The email started out introducing himself like any other client, and went on to say he recently separated from his wife and owns a company that is putting a proposal together to sell his product to Wal-Mart to carry in their stores. The client said he was from northern Louisiana (which is really not that far off from Wal-Mart’s home headquarters in Arkansas) and the meeting would be taking place in Las Vegas and wanted to make a good impression to the company and needed someone to act sophisticated and dress appropriately for the date. I quoted him my normal hourly rate for dinner dates and he agreed it would be fine. He also included in one of the emails that he would like to meet me the day before to make sure I was the right type of girl for the part of playing his wife and update me with personal information about himself that would be useful during the dinner. Not a problem! I made the appointment to meet, his room information checked out and he also agreed to take care of me for the pre-meeting.

So I go to the Bellagio all dressed up in what I would have worn to Sunday school, and meet with the customer (who is a shorter man who looks of Jewish descent) downstairs by the elevator as usual (since security checks for room keys) and we chit chat on the way upstairs. I asked him if anything was wrong since he looked a little uncomfortable but he said he was tired from traveling all day. We go upstairs and try to get into the room and for some reason his door key doesn’t work. Now you may think that’s some big warning sign, but it is something that happens all the time so no red flags went off to me. So he says, “Let’s go downstairs to get a new key at the front desk and talk a little on the way.” I keep informing him I don’t talk downstairs but he keeps asking me little questions to confirm what we discussed on the emails. He said, “So you said $X an hour right? So that would be $XXX for 6 hours? I think that amount of time would cover everything traveling from here to the dinner in my limo.” I inform him that I never ever take rides with clients in limos and that is okay with him. Almost to the front desk he throws in, “Yea so we can go to dinner then maybe come back here to do something else?” I said, “Uh, okay?” I forget the exact words he said but it was alluding to private entertainment but as far as sexual acts go, nothing was mentioned. He goes to the front desk while I wait on the couch under the glass ceiling, and we go back to the elevators. He mentioned right as we got on the elevator, “Yea okay, that amount seems like it will work out. $XXX right? Okay”

The elevator goes up and the doors open. We walk off and two men walk up to either side of me, one flashing some sort of badge down low that I could barely see and the other is grabbing my purse telling me to let go. What did I think was going on? I thought I was being robbed and held onto my purse. I looked back towards the customer and that’s when one of the officers said, “Don’t you realize, he’s one of us, you’re under arrest. We’re Las Vegas metro”. The one grabbing my purse smacks me on my head and yells, “LET GO NOW” and I yell back, “YOU CAN’T HIT ME! I thought I was being robbed!” They laughed at me like I’m an idiot for not comprehending why I was being arrested and barely seeing a badge from a fake looking wallet. I get taken to the room next to where I was supposed to go for the call and in the bathroom are 13 other girls under arrest. I recognize one of the girls from a service I worked for and kept it quiet. I didn’t find out that I had even been charged with soliciting prostitution until I got to jail and saw my paperwork. I was in jail for a short 12 hoursand released on my own recognizance… the shortest time ever.
So what happened with the case? I got a good lawyer, they avoided trial by getting me 20 hours of community service, having to complete an expensive sexual education class of sorts that you do online, and stay out of trouble until I complete the requirements. I actually learned a thing or two from the silly course. My charges were dismissed once everything was completed and was really just a waste of time in the court system for nothing.

I’ll finish with the second incident next time and how this arrest almost got completely screwed up….

Got Out Of Jail And Out Of Vegas For A While

Saturday, December 13th, 2008

Yea, what a bummer Monday was.  I had a flight booked for my annual trip out of town for the holidays early in the morning and decided to go on one **last* call. The night wasn’t such a great money but I thought it would be good to work up to the last minute before I had to go to my house, gather my bags and get my butt to the airport.  I went to the Bellagio with another girl I’ve known for a few years (and tends to dress way casual for calls to not draw attention) and we were there for a minute before having to collect the agency fee. Things were going all right until the guys said they wanted to tip a whopping $100 bucks for full service entertainment. I explained that you couldn’t tip $100 bucks and expect such a crazy amount of entertainment. There was a little bit of a language barrier since they were visiting from Mexico but it wasn’t going too bad until the guy who speaks less English (and ironically who had paid the fee) got a “fuck this” attitude and said forget it all give him the fee back. We had already said and translated 3 times that this fee was non-refundable, but of course that didn’t matter to him now. More arguing ensued, the customer grabbed my phone while trying to call the service to tell them what was going on and the other customer started to call security. I told him to hang up the phone after he started talking to them, which he did, and the other guy took the fee back. Everything was fine and security did call back to the guy but he never said that everything is fine now and don’t bother sending anyone up.

We leave the room and security is coming down the hall towards us informing us we are going nowhere and need to see some ID. I actually didn’t bring mine on the call and that of course was an issue. What was even more of an issue was the fact that 2 years ago I had been arrested in the hotel on a bust and had officially been trespassed so I could be going to jail. The security guy was actually going to let us go since the guys said we were okay we just got into an argument and everything was fine, but here came the security supervisor and he wasn’t letting anyone go.

This whole time little did we know that vice was sitting in the security office listening in on this call and had told the supervisor to go upstairs to see what was going on. Vice had been in the hotel making a bust for girls soliciting and much to their dismay, had only grabbed 4 girls (usually they get 10 or more) so we were going no where and definitely going to jail once they found out we had both been trespassed before. They told us we didn’t have to go to jail for trespassing but since I had flubbed on my information (hell I had a flight to catch) we were both going in. Cops are assholes and liars because as soon as we stepped in the room he said we were going to jail. Nothing was changing his mind.

So yes… I missed my flight by about 24 hours but finally got out of town the next morning. Thank god. I also proved one of my “news stories through the hooker grapevine” to be true. If the arresting officer puts at the top of your booking sheet “Vice Related” there is an automatic hold for 48 hrs and no own recognizance releases. Why did I get out within 24 hrs and O.R.’ed? Luckily the asshole arresting us didn’t put “vice related” on any of our forms that were only trespassing. That was a blessing in disguise. So hopefully this won’t happen to me for another 2 years again because I can say, I truly didn’t miss jail.

Stories From Another Las Vegas Escort

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

I always like hearing crazy or silly stories from girls. I went on a number of calls at the MGM Grand back to back with a nice girls I have known for a while from an escort service we both work for. We brought up how we don’t like being in the MGM Grand or the Bellagio due to the strict security sometimes. Not long ago I went cautiously to the Bellagio (only sketchy for me since I was busted by vice there) and she had been in the casino the same evening but had gone “missing” to the phone girls at the escort service we work for. No answer on her cell and the customer was confused as to where she went which spells trouble probably with security when girls go missing like that.

She had been picked up by security around 7pm when she went down to gamble with the client who had paid her already upstairs for her company. Weird it happened to her so early in the evening. She went on to say they approached her at the table and they asked for i.d. and since she had been trespassed before she claimed that she didn’t have it. After being taken into the back and they grilled her about knowing who she was, they said they were calling Metro Police to take her to jail for trespassing. She said she broke down crying since she had plans to take her son to NASCAR the next day and went on and on about how important that day was to her. I guess the head of security finally had half a heart so when Metro did arrive, he told the officer to give her a ticket instead of hauling her off to jail. Still an asshole to me..

The funny part of the story is how she went on about how many times she was trespassed at the Bellagio before the current security staff she encountered. She said she would go “freelancing” in the casino every night there and the security would catch her, make her come to the security office and sign a piece of paper saying she wouldn’t come back but then as she left would shout to her, “See you tomorrow night!” She said it went on constantly and was just a joke, and one time went to the office and saw 10 other girls being held for Metro… all obviously prostitutes who were black. She said when she signed the normal piece of paper the other girls flipped out since she was being let go. The head of security replied, “Now now it’s not that… I just wouldn’t want you girls to go back out to my casino!”  She also mentioned certain employees requesting girl’s panties or to show them to the staff to get let go with no problems. I had also heard of guards at the Wynn being paid off by girls who didn’t want to get into trouble when the casino first opened.

Quite interesting the stuff I hear, though I don’t believe all of it sometimes… it’s still interesting to hear the craziness that people tell me about happening in Las Vegas casinos.
