I don’t know if it’s only foreign men. I’ve encountered a few American men who seem pretty uneducated. It’s really sad that some religious and moral views prevent people from fully educating themselves.

I briefly dated a lovely guy from India a while back. Because he had left the country to get an education abroad, he didn’t fit into the stereotypical Indian paradigm; although the rest of his family did. He once explained to me how his father always bragged about him to all his friends because he had actually had girlfriends. His cousins would interrogate him when he returned to India about sex and dating. He was the only male in his family who didn’t get married young. For those that did, sex was just as taboo within the marriage bed as it was outside of it.

Even more amusing, he had a roommate that was 29 and had yet to be with a woman. Heh. Your story reminded me of where his roommate will be in another ten years.

Why stay away from bars? Maybe Vegas is different, but I’ve had good luck in bars. You have to be picky — I go for smart girls — but there are definitely quality women at bars.

Very Very amusing !! Being from India, I know vast majority get their first sexual experience after they are married, and even then, the girls are soo shy, they probably do it with lights off ! …so that probably explains this gentleman not having a clue !

…But it’s different in developed cities in India like New Delhi and Bombay – where the culture is over-westernized … and the kids are, well, over-educated !
