A Rare Vegas Rain Storm

Yes it’s actually raining in the desert. I love the rain lots except when I am working. It turns a night that could be good into a no call night. If you don’t have people walking down the strip or around town then you have no way of reaching them with advertising except with Internet or Yellowpages. Only one of the companies I work for now even use the Yellowpages and the rest rely on advertising on the streets. The reason why more companies don’t use the phone book is because of the incredibly expensive rates you have to pay every six months to keep an ad. Takes so many calls constantly to even break even on those ads. I understand why most companies stick to people passing out cards or little magazine stands.

The only call I received tonight was from my Eros ad from a guy at Circus Circus who had a bad listening problem. I really hate it when people call and don’t say hi or “my name is” and immediately just ask, “what do you charge per hour”. I respond with, “Well I like to come meet you and talk to you in person first but my entertainment starts at $$ and goes up from there. I don’t have any specific rates for hour or half hour it just ranges depending on the level of entertainment.” I know quite a few girls in other cities work on an hour or half hour rates, but what girls ends up doing around here is charging for whatever act they perform. I do take my time and all because I want the customers to enjoy themselves and not think I am just running off. Anyway, this guy kept pushing me to say what I do for my minimum price and what sexual acts does it include. I say that is illegal and I don’t like to talk on the phone anyway like I said before. I suggested for me to come by and meet him under no obligation (to perform my little tests so I feel more comfortable) but he just responded with an “I’ll call you back”. He called back 10 minutes later again asking me more pointed sexual questions and how much to get out of the atm. I again repeated that I would love to come meet him but I cannot answer his questions without coming over first. He said another “I’ll call you back”, but of course he didn’t. I am sure I frustrate a lot of guys by saying that I would like to come over first but they have to understand that no one can talk about sexual acts over the phone. In the end, maybe I am the only frustrated one

I think your “ala carte” pricing scenario is a hinderance to your success. If they have to have you physically in their hotel room in order to get some idea of what costs what, then they’ll naturally think (chances are) that you are either an upsell girl, or a ROB.

Why do you use “menu pricing”? Simply because other girls use it? I thought the idea was to make money.

Well I use it not just because other girls do, but I just don’t see how me saying $x an hour would change their barrage of questioning. If I said, for example, my rate is 400 an hour on the phone to these guys, their first response back is still going to be, “well what does that include?” Which of course I would still have to reply with me wanting to meet them and discuss things further. They also have an “intent to solicit” charge here so I want to avoid incriminating myself because of that possibility , too. The idea is to make money, of course! But when people hang up with you just because you won’t say word-for-word what they are explicitly getting over the phone, I can’t do anything about that except say that I won’t talk like that.

Unlike some girls, when I show up to a room for my own call from an ad and told the customer that I will meet him under no cost, I mean that. If I don’t work anything out with the guy then I won’t get all pissed about it. I try to work anything out I can.. because like you said, the whole idea is to make money.

I’ve never worked in the way you do, pricing pending what the guy requests, so I was wondering if you still have an upper time limit? If the guy wants a blowjob, is it priced under the assumption it’s going to be done in like ten minutes or could he in theory “make” you stay an hour (or two hours, when would enough be enough?) for the same price if he takes a really long time to climax and still not “violate” what you’ve agreed to? I can see the point with charging per sexual act in one way, because I charge extra for anything out of the ordinary (like Pee-Pee’s request for watersports, I add 50% on top of my standard fee) but it actually seems More complicated to price Everything in a “menu” style, unless there’s Also time specifications. It just seems it could lead to some misunderstandings and differing expectations between client and escort. I suppose maybe there’s no other alternative though if there is no commonly known standard “normal” service for an escorts “basic” (hourly) fee in Vegas. (Even if that “basic” fee differs escort to escort). Maybe I’m not wording myself clearly… I guess I’m wondering if there’s no such concept in Vegas as a “normal” 1 hour job, you know, traditionally oral+straight sex, pretty much? Or is the way you do it to Always get down to the extreme specifics like kissing/no kissing/style of kissing, let alone different ways to fuck? Each with it’s own pricing? I think I personally would feel more like a gritty hooker if I made people “buy” specific things out of a range of escalating-in-price services. At the moment, when a client pays for me it’s simply unspoken what he may allow himself to expect. Sort of like a civilised date with guaranteed sex or even like a straight forward booty call with a fuck buddy, but I’m still a Person, Me. Not just someone which whom Exactly this and that specific act will happen, because the client paid for Exactly those things as if programming a robot. I don’t know if it’s easier though to cope with this job if viewing oneself as a straighforward mode of transaction. I kind of think it’s not possible to simply objectify oneself and Use oneself in that way. You are what you are, body and all, too. Even if sometimes I think I can pretend I exist solely inside my mind, a place where no one can get to me, it Would get to me if I had to spell it out and decide between myself and each and every client what precise sex acts he’s going to buy from me. It sounds really hard. I think that’s different to start exploring a clients further interests in new things after you’ve been with him before, and he’d just asks in a nice way if I’d be interested in trying a certain thing. Then I could bring up that yes, sure, but for an extra fee… and feel like I have the upper hand. There’s something different about the dynamics there, which would make me feel better, compared to the way in which you describe that you work.

It sounds like you’re still doing really well though with a smart head, and I love reading your blog!
